Pekingese pulling pioneer wagons...join us in saluting the individuals and events that have shaped our country - from the Founding Fox Terriers to Airedale Astronauts/Salukis in Space to Pit Bull/Poodle Presidents. Think stars & stripes, apple pie, beads & boas!
Sunday, February 19, 2012 (the day before President's Day and 2 days before Mardi Gras) Parade at 2 p.m. Check in at 12:30 in Mitchell Park, downtown McKinney.
This event is free and open to everyone, but there is a cost for
participants to enter the parade. Pre-registration and confirmation
is required. There will be a costume contest and prizes will be
awarded in each size group (small, medium, large, & huge dogs) for best costume, best dog/owner combo, best float, & Best In Show. We limit the parade to 200 entries, so send in your check or cash today.
Cost is $5 per dog/float (floats are children's entries as decorated wagons & bikes)
