Dallas, Texas -- Joyce Glyn Minton Williams, age 71 of Dallas, TX passed away January 6, 2012 in Lewisville, TX. She was born on October 23, 1940 in Van Alstyne, TX to Carl and Maggie Lou (Barnett) Minton. In 1958, Joyce graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas.

After high school, she attended the Baptist Bible College. She retired from the Winston School in Dallas, where she worked for many years as a testing coordinator. Joyce was a member of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her two daughters, Melody Davis of Dallas, TX and Kelly Hobbs and husband, Ken of Reidsville, NC; one sister, Janet Marmion and husband, Joe of Lake in the Hills, IL; one grandchild, Clayton Davis; lifelong friends, Clarissa and Jim Loper; nieces and nephews, Todd and Victoria Stoker, Deborah Williams, Sonia and Brian Aube, Kim Williams and Becky and Tim Drake; several aunts uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne with Tom Herzog and Dr. Clyde Box officiating.

Pallbearers will be Todd Stoker, Brandon Stoker, Mark Walker, Terry Don Minton, Mark Buchanan, Larry Minton, James Neves and honorary pallbearers will be Joe Marmion, Jim Loper, Richard Hayse and Dr. Rita Sherbeneou.

Interment will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 09, 2012 at Scoggins Funeral Home.
