Recently Coach Crossland's and Coach Yarbrough's classes took a field trip to Fort Inglish. The students were able to experience life as a colonial settler through a variety of hands on experiences. They learned about the trade of blacksmithing through listening to and observing a blacksmith.

The students also were able to imagine the home life of a colonial settler through the tours of the many cabins that are on site. They were able to see what a one room home looked like and even learned that a bath in a bathtub was a privilege that some people would even pay for.

The students were able to wash laundry, grind corn, fetch water from a well and even learned how to drive a buggy. The students were able to hear many stories from Bonham's rich history. This day brought history to life!
