Linda Josephine (Walker) Dodson

Bonham, Texas - - Funeral services for Linda Josephine Dodson, age 52 of Ivanhoe, TX will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday October 28, 2011 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, TX.  Bro Lenard Dossey will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Dodson passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Medical Center in Plano.

Linda Josephine (Walker) Dodson was born on August 3, 1959 in Grand Prairie, TX to parents Billy Leon and Jewell Marie (Parker) Walker. She married Charles Ray Dodson on June 23, 1978 in Ivanhoe, TX. Mrs. Dodson was a caretaker for Outreach Home Health, and a member of Ivanhoe Baptist Church.

She is survived by husband-Charles Ray Dodson of Ivanhoe, TX; Son-Steven Ray Dodson and wife Kimberly Ann of Sherman, TX; Daughter-Gina Lynn Dodson of San Antonio, TX; 2 Grandchildren-Michael Ray Dodson, and Alex Leon Dodson; Father-Billy Leon Walker of Ivanhoe, TX; Sister-Lucinda Marie Walker Stephens of Yancey, TX; and other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Jewell Marie Walker.

Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Stephens, Randall Stephens, Lyndell Van Hooser, Kenneth Walker, Travis Walker, and Rusty Harris.

Family visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
