Austin College volleyball falls in final home match

SHERMAN, Texas – The Austin College volleyball team fell in its final home match of the season, dropping a 19-25, 22-25, 9-25 decision to visiting University of Texas-Dallas on Tuesday night in Hughey Gym. The ‘Roos are now 17-9 overall this season with the loss. 

The ‘Roos got 11 kills apiece from Jessi Fleming and Shelby Eaves, and Eaves added a team-best 14 digs on the night while Fleming added four total blocks to lead the ‘Roos.

Kelly McDaniel had 26 assists and 13 digs, and Ragan Forson had 12 digs for Austin College in defeat. 

Austin College heads to Irving this weekend to take part in the University of Dallas Invitational starting on October 14. 

Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
