McKINNEY, TEXAS (Aug. 26, 2011) – The City of McKinney is partnering with the McKinney Sports Connection to host the NFL Punt Pass & Kick (PPK) event on Saturday, Sept. 3. Young football fans are invited to compete in the PPK local competition held at McKinney High School, 1400 Wilson Creek Pkwy., at 9 a.m.

PPK is a national initiative that provides boys and girls ages 6 to 15 the opportunity to participate in an exciting football skills competition, showcasing their abilities in punting, passing and kicking.  Boys and girls compete separately in five age divisions.

To avoid long lines the day of the event, participants are encouraged to register for the event at the NFL PPK website www.nflppk.com. Participants must provide a copy of their birth certificate and have a parent and/or guardian complete a registration waiver form prior to the start of the competition.

Grab your sneakers (no cleats allowed) to be part of the 50th year of NFL PPK. For more information, call 972-542-5014.
