'Music in the Garden' series draws to a close…

The third annual “Music in the Garden” series was brought to a close Thursday night by local band, Glass Gypsy.  Band members are Dan Glaser, lead vocalist and rhythm guitar, Jeff “JQ” Spiller, lead guitar and vocals, Ross Griffith, bass guitar, and David Wood, drums and vocals.

 

 

The band was so good, the crowd ignored the heat in favor of clapping, toe-tapping and dancing on the sidewalks. Their sets included pop and rock music from the 60s, 70s and 80s.  The four guitars were very tight and the vocals blended seamlessly.  They performed covers that were as good as the recorded versions and a few original songs.  Their new cd will be out at the end of the summer. The evening’s sponsors were Steven Eskue/Hair Eskue, VPG and Farm Bureau/Sue Taylor.
