Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Clara Lois (Moses) Barnett, age 87 of Bonham will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Donald Ivey will officiate the service with Bro. Morgan Malone assisting. Interment will follow at Brigham Cemetery near Commerce at 4:30 p.m. Mrs. Barnett passed away on May 12, 2011 at Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman, Texas. 

Clara Lois (Moses) Barnett was born on January 30, 1924 in Honey Grove, TX to parents John and Ollie (Beavers) Moses. She married L.C. Barnett on June 12, 1942 in Pecan Gap. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1984. She worked for Sears as a knitting operator and is a member of the First Baptist Church in Bonham. 

Clara is survived by her brother Aubrey Moses and wife Mary of Bonham, TX; sisters Johnnie Thomas and husband Ray of Houston; Marie Marcon and husband Johnny of Taylor, TX; Vesta Rieger of Taylor, TX; and Pauline Smith of Mesquite, TX; 7 nieces, 4 nephews, and many cousins and friends. 

She is also preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters Peggy Hamilton, Pearl Hewitt, and Lucille Minnick.

Pallbearers will be Richard Ivey, George Hilliard, Marquis Ivey, Chris Ivey, Justin Ivey, Jimmy Hewitt, Dale Hewitt, and Mark Ramsey.

Family visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:00 P.M. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
