Saturday night, May 7, 2011, marked the 10-year anniversary celebration for the Creative Arts Center in Bonham, Texas.  The beautiful garden at the ranch of Bob and Kay Carrel made a perfect setting for the Shrimp Peel Celebration.

Shrimp, festive beads, and lively music kicked off a spectacular evening of fun and great food.  Folks from all over gathered to pay tribute to the Creative Arts Center and its effect on Fannin County and the City of Bonham.

Executive Director Barbara Reeves stated, "The Creative Arts Center would just be another building, if it were not for the support of the many volunteers we have. The people are the driving force for the Center. We have a slogan which is, 'The Creative Arts Center is the place to be...and we have a place for you.'"

Reeves, continued by saying, "We live by this motto everyday.  We DO have a place for you and we want everyone to be a part of changing lives through art, music, performing arts, educational classes, exhibits, and our many other programs.  The entire evening was underwritten. Every dollar we received during the fabulous evening will go directly to our programs."

The night was filled with laughter, fun, food, and great comradery.
