At the January 19 meeting of the Bonham Rotary Club, Jack Bond with El Dorado Jewelry and Loan in Bonham, gave a unique and informative program on the pawn business.

Jack explained how the pawn and loan business works and how customers can borrow money on their personal items and then pay off the loan and get their personal item back. He told of some of his experiences with theft and some of the unique items people have brought into his stores to pawn.

Jack displayed a bag of loose diamonds he has that has a total weight of 250 carats. He told of his plans to use them in Arkansas where he owns another business. It was a lighthearted program that all the Rotarians enjoyed.
