STEPHENVILLE, Texas - Southeastern scored the game's first eight points but was unable to keep the pressure on No. 17 Tarleton State, falling 88-40 on Thursday night in Stephenville, Texas.

The loss is the sixth-straight for the Savage Storm who fall to 1-6 on the year and will be back on the court for an 8 p.m. matchup with Texas A&M-Kingsville on Dec. 7.

Jamell Cormier paced the Storm with 16 points and was SE's only double-digit scorer with Urald King just missing out on a double double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Chibuzo Elonu led the way on the boards on the night, pulling down 10 rebounds while dishing out a team best three assists.

SE shot 31.9 percent for the game and suffered from 26 turnovers which TSU converted into 40 points.

The Storm struggles from long range continued as well as the team hit 2-of-12 form three, while the Texans knocked down 15-of-26.

Southeastern opened with an 8-0 run that began with a Darrell Hicks jumper and was capped by a King jumper with 16:50 to play in the half.

However, TSU would outscore SE 44-11 over the remainder of the first half and add a 44-21 advantage in the second half to hand SE its worst loss of the season.
