Students in 8th grade technology class are proud of their work. So proud, in fact, that they gathered all 6th and 7th grade students and shared their stories with them. Ghost stories, that is.
Ms. Yates’s technology students produced scary stories using pictures they found on the internet, music and sound files and photo story software. They were able to put it all together so that each story looked like a movie, then they used microphones to narrate their stories. Most stories were scary, some were funny, all were very unique. At the end, they made a credit slide to give recognition to pictures and sounds used.
The students put together a program in the library for the younger grades, and completely ran the show, from lights, action, introductions and behavior.
Ms. Yates said, “We’ve had three teachers come up and ask for this to be a yearly thing.”
She is very proud of the hard work and dedication these students have shown.
They continue to work on their own 8th grade videos, and their next photo story project may be book reviews that the librarian could run continuously on the TV in the library to help interest kids in more books.
