Daddy’s Dyin, Who’s Got The Will follows a dysfunctional Texas family as they squabble among themselves over the family fortune. As the title would suggest, Daddy (Paul Dearinger), the patriarch of a large family in Lowake, Texas, is reaching the end of life's journey as his health and energy slip away and he watches midget wrestling on a television that isn't even turned on.
Daddy's children have all returned to the family home, ostensibly to show their support in their father's final hours, but mainly because they're eager to know how Daddy's estate will be divided. Sara Lee (Donna M. Smith) has arrived with her new fiancé, Clarence. Evalita (Michelle Jewett), the high-spirited "black sheep" of the family, also has her new beau in tow, a pot-addled musician and health-food salesman named Harmony (Anthony Finch). Orville (Jeff Higgins) has brought along his wife, the patient and long-suffering Marlene (Ashley Pickering). And Lurlene (Renea Mitchell) is a born-again Christian who isn't shy about expressing her views on sin and salvation.

As the siblings and their companions bicker, Daddy announces that he can't remember where he put his will, leading to a frantic search. Keeping the whole bunch from killing each other is Mama Wheelis (Sally Boswell), grandmother to the brood of kids and is not shy about giving her opinions as to their character.
Daddy's Dyin' was written by Del Shores, author of Sordid Lives and Daughters of the Lone Star State. Mr. Shores writes about what he knows and what he knows are the very real, very funny and very human people that live in the state of Texas.
David J. Fielding, director of the production, says, “These are small town folk and if you look closely you'll recognize them as people you may know or may have known. They are vibrant and colorful, and so is the play, which contains adult situations and language, -- just like real life."
