Bonham ISD

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of Bonham ISD was held Tuesday, August 31, 2010, beginning at 12:00 PM in the Bonham ISD Administration Center, 1005 Chestnut Street, Bonham, Texas 75418.

1. Call To Order

The meeting was called to order at the Bonham ISD Administration Office at 12:00 p.m. by Charlotte Kearney. A quorum was present.

Members present for the meeting: Press Cox, Charlotte Kearney, Monica Kissling, Jim Simpson, Doyce Taylor, Bob Thomas and Sonny Cruse, Superintendent.

Member Absent: Dr. Randy McBroom

2. Action Item - Discuss/Plan District Celebration- Recognized Roundup

Motion was made by Doyce Taylor and seconded by Bob Thomas to appoint a sub-committee of Monica Kissling, Jim Simpson, and Press Cox to plan the “Recognized Round Up.” Motion carried 6-0.

3. Action Item - Consider addition of two teachers due to current enrollment.

Motion was made by Monica Kissling and seconded by Jim Simpson to approve the addition of two teachers for Finley-Oates Elementary (kindergarten) due to current enrollment. Motion carried 6/0.

Motion was made by Doyce Taylor and seconded by Bob Thomas to employ Kimberly Price as kindergarten teacher at Finley-Oates Elementary School on a one year probation contract subject to assignment. Motion carried 6/0.

Motion was made by Jim Simpson and seconded by Press Cox giving Sonny Cruse, Superintendent the authority to hire an additional kindergarten teacher. Motion carried 6-0.
