The Dodd City Lady Hornets were on the road Tuesday night and came home from Sulphur Bluff with a three-game victory to show for their efforts.
Dodd City took control from the start and put identical back-to-back wins of 25-15 and 25-15 in the books to go up 2-0 in the match.
Sulphur Bluff battled back in game three, however The Lady Hornets were just too much as Dodd City earned the sweep with a 25-21 victory in the third contest.
Briann Hilliard led the Lady Hornets with 11 kills and Alex Hilliard knocked down nine kills.
Misty Goodin handed out 27 assists to go along with her two aces.
Christi Petty came up with a team-high 11 digs and Rainy Goodin got under nine digs.
Katelynn Woodlee had 16 service points, including three aces, and Morgan Hartnett hammered a couple of aces through the Sulphur Bluff defense.
The Lady Hornets will be back in action at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7 when Dodd City hosts Sulphur Bluff.
