Tom Bean City Hall recently underwent some renovation in which we expanded the customer lobby and added an additional customer service window--one will be for Municipal Court Clerk and the new one for City Secretary. This new expansion will now allow more customers in the waiting area to come in out of the weather and speed transactions through the two entities.
The City of Tom Bean also received a $23,030 State Energy Stimulus grant for energy conservation and projects chosen were adding insulation for city hall, installation of two ridge vents (at ends of bldg.) and adding an awning which covers the entire length of city hall to shade the doors/windows.
With these finally in place, we will begin to see taxpayer $ savings in our electric bills. Thank you State Energy Conservation Office!
