Bonham ISD, in partnership with Arp ISD, has successfully competed for a Connections Grant in the amount of approximately $800,000.  On Thursday, August 26, 2010, the Texas Education Agency informed Bonham ISD it is one of the winning districts. The Connections Grant is a competitive grant targeting schools in high poverty areas with the purpose of creating model schools using technology and digital content to enhance learning.

Bonham ISD plans to provide laptop computers to all high school students and faculty. Staff will be taught to convert traditional paper based content into digital media that can be accessed from any device. Paper textbooks will be replaced with their digital counterparts and online content posted for easy access.

This is an exciting opportunity for the students and staff of Bonham High School. We welcome the challenge this grant brings.
