Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Bobbie Joe Marrow, age 74 of Bonham, TX will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham. Chaplain George Cooper will officiate the service. Interment will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the Clifton Cemetery in Emory, TX with military honors rendered by the U.S. Army. Mr. Marrow passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Nursing Home.

Bobbie Joe Marrow was born in Paducah, TX on May 27, 1936 to parents John Calvin and Anella Christine (Burgett) Marrow.  Mr. Marrow was a lifelong resident of Bonham, TX where he volunteered for 7 years at the VA. He was a painter and truck driver for many years. Mr. Marrow served in the Army for his country for 5 years 7 months. Mr. Marrow was a Baptist and was baptized in 1952 at Harvest Baptist Church.

Mr. Marrow left behind a wife Kitta of Germany; daughter Loretta of Germany; brother Jack Marrow of Lancaster, TX; niece Faye Isbell and husband Donald of Denison; Josie Laubie of Alvarado, Robbie Fuller and husband Tim of MN; Deborah Schmitz of MO.; Nephew John Marrow and wife Cindy of Arlington; 5 great nieces, 7 great nephews, 11 great great nieces, 8 great great nephews and many friends. All will miss him.

Family visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 7-9 P.M. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
