Dorothy Marshall Scott, age 89, of Whitewright, Texas passed away August 26, 2010. She was born September 15, 1920 in Weston, Texas to Walter Lee Marshall and Ida Estelle (Hitchcock) Marshall. On September 17, 1939 she married Thomas Wayne Scott in Durant, Oklahoma. Dorothy was a member of Tom Bean Church of Christ where she was an active member and a past Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by her son , Larry Scott and wife, Diana of Whitewright, Texas; daughter, Phyllis Stetson and husband, Paul of Alton Bay, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Laura Perrin of Alton Bay, New Hampshire, Shelley Roberts of Drumright, Oklahoma, Ann Williams and John Scott both of Whitewright, Texas; six great-grandchildren and sister, Evelyn Faught of Justin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Scott; brother, H.C. Marshall and sister, Mattie Frazier.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Tom Bean Church of Christ.  

Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
