McKINNEY, Texas (8.23.2010)— Brownies and their leaders are invited to the North Texas History Center’s first Girl Scout Workshop of the 2010-11 school year. Registered Scouts will have the opportunity to listen to stories of days gone by, play games from yesteryear, and tour historic downtown McKinney during a two-hour block designed to complete three out of four requirements for the Listening to the Past Try-it.
“The workshop will go on rain or shine,” said Sarah Hatcher, Museum Educator, “so we advise the leaders and girls to check the forecast and come prepared for the weather and some fun!”
The workshop runs from 1pm-3pm on September 18th and costs $4 per girl. The price includes all activities, but does not include the Try-It. Reservations are required and can be made at 972.542.9457 ext. 102 or by emailing education@TheNTHC.org. Other Girl Scout Workshops will be held throughout the school year. Check www.TheNTHC.org for more information.
