Durant Main Street has announced this week’s feature for Music on Market Square will be Kemp Baptist Church. The public is invited to hear a variety of contemporary and traditional praise music at the outdoor stage at First and Evergreen in downtown Durant. 

Kemp Baptist Church Praise Band always enjoys a night that they can worship and share gospel music with others. They are always eager to share their love of music and God with others. 

Donna Dow, Durant Main Street Manager, is convinced that this will be another successful night for Music on Market Square.

“Kemp always brings a good group, and they have a good time," shared Dow. "The last time they were scheduled, the group actually played in the rain and ministered individually to those in the crowd upon request.”  

There are several exciting events coming up that will be featured by Music on Market Square. The events are for all ages and they include a DHS Pep Rally, a Drumline Competition, Johnnie Peters 50’s Show and more. 

The concerts are free each Thursday night through September, and attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs to enjoy a relaxed night filled with music this week in downtown Durant. For more information, contact Durant Main Street at 580-924-1550.
