McKINNEY, Texas (July 9, 2010) – On Thursday, July 8 at 8:45 p.m. witnesses reported to McKinney Police that two unknown Hispanic males entered apartment 46 at Merritt Homes, 1200 N. Tennessee St. The suspects demanded money from the three occupants inside. When the occupants refused, one of the suspects shot victim Carl Coleman, black male, age 26 in the face.
The suspects then fled via the back door and left the area on foot. The victim was taken immediately to Medical Center of McKinney and subsequently transferred to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where he was pronounced deceased this morning at 4:37 a.m.
