Greeted by two exquisitely costumed female jaguars, guests knew upon arrival this would be no ordinary grand opening. Jaguar Plano, the newest gem in the Park Place Dealerships crown, recently hosted a celebration to welcome Jaguar clients and friends to the Park Place family. More than 200 guests gathered for an evening of sleek cars, delectable food and charitable support.

Jaguar Plano designated Children’s Medical Center at Legacy the beneficiary of the celebration. Ken Schnitzer, Chairman of Park Place Dealerships, presented a $7,500 check to Pete Kline, president of Children’s Medical Center Foundation.

“We have a great relationship with Children’s Medical Center,” said Schnitzer. “ It is only fitting that as we expand our presence in Collin County, we partner with Children’s Medical Center’s Legacy campus. The hospital does a terrific job of taking care of children in the community who need the best specialists, doctors, nurses, and staff.”

Northwestern Mutual Financial Network sponsored a wine pull with wrapped bottles of wine and champagne. For a $50 donation, guests could select a bottle, which was guaranteed to be worth at least $30 and could be valued at up to $250. In addition, participants received a $25 gift card to III Forks Restaurant. This initiative raised an additional $2,500 for Children’s Medical Center.

Jennifer Baldwin & The Vibe provided sultry jazz sounds throughout the night. III Forks catered the event, and Godiva Chocolates provided hand-dipped chocolate fruit.

Jordan Case, president of Park Place Lexus, has been named president of Jaguar Plano. In 2005 under Case’s leadership, Park Place Lexus was named a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award winner, the only award presented to businesses by the President of the United States. Park Place Lexus is the only automobile dealership to ever receive the prestigious award.

Jaguar Plano also showcased the new 2011 XJ flagship, which Car and Driver magazine says has “the flamboyant lines of an Italian torpedo, the driving manners of a German autobahn cruiser, and is tuned for Buckingham Palace fleet duty.” Base price for the Jaguar XJ begins at $72,500.

Jaguar Plano recently sponsored the III Forks Golf Classic, benefiting TeamConnor Cancer Foundation. Two Jaguars were featured as hole-in-one prizes at Gleneagles Country Club.

Founded in 1987, Park Place Dealerships represents Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Porsche, Jaguar, smart, Volvo, Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maserati. More information is available at www.parkplacetexas.com.
