Bonham -- It was another pleasant evening of entertainment at the Creative Arts Center Thursday evening an another large crowd gathered to listen to the gospel harmonies of Sing Over Me and a few classical selections by talented young pianist, Will Lacy.
Thursday's performance was sponsored by Bonham Quick Lube.
This is the second year of the Music in the Garden concert series, which runs through June 17. The Grayson County College Jazz Combo is set to perform Thursday, June 10 and X-alt from Faith Church in Sherman will close out this year's Music in the Garden series Thursday, June 10.
On June 3, Sing Over Me featured the three-part harmony of Kristina Nelson, Susan Toland and Jenna Toland, along with the rythm of percussionist Jerrod Hudson. Susan double as an accomplished keyboardist, while Jenna is an impressive young guitarist.
After a first set comprised of strictly gospel music, Sing Over Me had a little fun with musical comedy by Kristina and Susan and then turned their attention to popular contemporary country music songs.
Also on the bill Thursday evening was remarkable young pianist, Will Lacy. A fourth-grade student at I.W. Evans Intermediate School in Bonham, Will impressed the audience so much that he was called back to the stage for an encore.
