For four years, fans of the Bonham Lady Warrior volleyball program have watched Paige Riza play an important role in the team's success. On Friday, friends and family watched as the BHS senior signed to play her next four years at the university level.

Paige was the selected as the District 10-3A All-District setter following her senior season and expects to play the same position for Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama.

Riza has also been an outstanding performer in the classroom, which earned her the distinction of being named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association Volleyball Academic All-State Team. She maintained a 3.87 GPA at Bonham High School, was a member of the National Honor Society and received the Academic Excellence Award all four years.
A pleasant visit to Faulkner University sealed the deal.
"Everyone was so nice," Riza recalled, "and it has an impressive campus with a lot of new buildings."
This next step has been an ambition from the beginning.
"When I first started playing volleyball, I wanted to play in college," she said. "I thought that would be great...and it is!"
