Bobby Donald Clayton passed away on Tuesday, May 25 in Dallas surrounded by family & friends following a brief illness.  Bobby was born in Bonham on September 19, 1936 the son of Eddie and Lorena Clayton. He graduated from Bonham High School Class of 1955 and East Texas State University, and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  Bobby had a career of over 50 years in the insurance business and was the owner of The Eagle Group Insurance Resources.  
 
He is survived by his wife Sharon of McKinney and their daughters, Christa & Katie, former wife, Janet Smith Clayton, and their daughter Carolyn Stroud and husband Danny Joe Stroud, son Scott Clayton and finace Donna Scobee, and his brother Marc Clayton and wife Lori, all residing in Bonham, as well as Sharon's sister, Sherry Mier and husband Steve of Lafayette, LA.  He has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Pam Duncan. 
 
A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 5:00 in the evening Saturday, June 5 at Arledge Ridge Cemetery in Bonham and will be followed by a celebration of his life from 6:30-8:30 at the Clayton home place in Bonham. 

In lieu of flowers Legend Bank (502 N. Center St, Bonham, TX 75418) is accepting donations to be made in Bobby's name to the American Cancer Society.
