On May 12, 2010, a resident of Fannin County was contacted by a suspect, who told him a contract had been put out on the life of his daughter.  The suspect further stated that for $36,000 he could make sure the contract was cancelled, but if he didn’t receive the money, the victim “would be sorry when you put her in the ground.”

The resident called the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office, who quickly set up a video and audio recording strategy to capture the suspect’s continued threats.

On May 13, the suspect, a 46-year-old man named Eddie Wayne Williams, arranged to meet the victim at a restaurant in Bonham TX to receive the payment, however, Williams was surprised by both undercover and uniformed officers from both the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office and the Bonham Police Department, who took the suspect into custody without incident.

The incident is still investigation.
