Republican Party Fannin County Convention held March 20

Not rain or cold could keep us away from the Fannin County Convention of the Republican Party last Saturday morning. An interested and well informed crowd met to conduct the business of the Republicans of Fannin County and elect twelve delegates and twelve alternatives to attend the Republican State Convention to be held in Dallas, Texas on June 11-12, 2010.

Reports were given on the five committees to include the Credentials, Rules, Permanent Organization and the Nominations & Resolutions committees.

Permanent officers for the convention were elected and are as follows: Russell Green, Chairman; Melody Michaud, Co-chairman; Linda Long, Secretary; Jason White, Sergeant at Arms; and Tom Long, Parliamentarian.
