John Wiley will present: "A Pig in a Poke: Misleading, Misunderstood and Misused Resources." Wiley will explain how to evaluate documents and internet resources to determine whether they are helpful and accurate or misleading and false.
Immediately following, Barbara Brixey Wiley will present "Identifying Norman's Mother: Overcoming Hazy Memories and Conflicting Records." She will present a case study to illustrate how researchers can succeed even when vital records are missing, wrong or in conflict with other data.
