03-10-2010 Deputy Mueller responded to a call on FM 898 regarding the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The complainant told Deputy Mueller that an unknown subject(s) had attempted to steal one of his pickup trucks and drove the truck into a ditch. The complainant said another one of his pickup trucks was missing from his driveway. The missing vehicle was a 2004 Chevrolet. This offense is related to the burglary of a church also located on FM 898. Case is under investigation.

03-10-2010 Deputy Meuller responded to a burglary call on FM 898 at the Marvin United Methodist Church. The complainant advised Deputy Mueller that someone had entered the building and stolen copper from the HVAC unit and the hot water heater. There was water damage to the floor from the hot water heater. This offense is related to the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in case number 10-13494. One suspect believed to have been involved in these offenses and was in close proximity to both locations was arrested by Savoy PD. The Sheriff’s Office was able to obtain the name of another suspect and secured an arrest warrant for that individual. Case is under investigation.
