Gunter, TX – Mystery and mayhem are on the menu for the Gunter ISD Foundation Trust’s (GIFT) benefit dinner theater, Death of a Doornail, set for 6 p.m. Saturday, April 17, in the Gunter High School Commons.
Tickets go on sale March 22 for the event, which includes a fajita dinner provided by La Colina restaurant and performances by local thespians, many of whom starred in last year’s sell-out dinner theater, also benefiting GIFT.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and are available at the Gunter ISD offices, 903/433-4750.
Written by Lee Mueller, Death of a Doornail takes place in the drawing room of eccentric tycoon Albert Doornale. Although an assortment of odd characters have gathered at the estate to meet with Albert, the host is nowhere to be found. The play provides for plenty of audience interaction, with a question-and-answer session and a chance to win a prize by casting your vote for the most likely murderer.
Cast members include Stephanie Kelly, Justin Wallis, Starla Burney, Jim Williams, Karla Hughlett, Richard Johnson, Lee Franze, Robert Franze and Gwynn Smith.
