Wolfe City pitcher Ryan Smith went the distance to get the win and drove in three runs to help his cause, Dondre Wright went 4-for-4 at the plate and Kory Wilkinson had a home run and three RBIs as the Wolves doubled up on the Gunter Tigers "B" team, 6-3.

Smith (3-1) sat eight Gunter batters down on strikes and scattered seven hits in seven innings. Gunter plated a pair of runners in the second inning and scored a run in the third, but Smith held Gunter scoreless for the final four innings.

With the win, Wolfe City improves to 7-3 on the year.

The Wolves will be back in action Saturday, March 20 at Trenton.  The game is scheduled to begin at noon.
