Funeral services for Mrs. Ival Turner "Granny" Beezley, age 95, lifelong Fannin County resident will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, March 15, 2010 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham.  Interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery in Telephone.  Mrs. Beezley passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 in Mullican Care Center in Savoy.

She was born on November 1, 1914 in Clarksville, Texas the daughter of the late William and Lona Pate Turner.  Mrs. Beezley was married to Marvin Franklin Beezley on December 10, 1930 he preceded her in death on February 10, 1957. 

In 1925 at the age of eleven plowing for her father using a team of mules, Ival started a career in agriculture that lasted until 1978.  Although Ival never drove a car she was able to drive tractors, mules and horses with profiencey.  Ival was known to work hard at everything she did and continued farming and ranching all the while raising and putting her children through school after her husband Marvin died in 1957.

She is survived by her Daughter Wilma Jean Peters of Bonham. Son – Del Beezley & wife Dolores of Wylie.  7-Grandchildren, 18-Great Grandchildren and 5-Great Great Grandchildren.  Sisters – Willie Ruth Sanford of Houlka, MS and Joyce McCraw of Bonham.  Brothers – Billy Joe Turner of Blossom, TX and Amon Turner of Carthage, TX.  Numerous Nieces and Nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sons – Don Beezley and John Beezley. Daughter Wanda Spykes.  3-Sisters and 2- Brothers.

Pallbearers will be John Beezley, Bryan Beezley, Cody Boatman, Wyatt Beezley, Chad Daniels and Kevin Richey.

The family will receive friends at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham from 5:30 to 7:00 PM Sunday night. 

Memorials may be made to The Beezley Family Memorial Scholarship Fund – P.O. Box 4, Trenton, Texas - First National Bank of Trenton – Trenton Branch.  Fund will be used to support Fannin County students interested in a career in Agriculture.
