On February 15, 2010 Kaye Skinner of Bonham Jewelers underwent routine surgery that was supposed to be an “in on Monday/home on Tuesday” procedure.  However, on Tuesday evening she developed complications and, ultimately, had to have an additional four surgeries and spend ten days in the ICU.

By the grace of God and the prayers of this community Kaye is now on the road to recovery. When she went to the hospital she felt she had adequate insurance.  The multiple surgeries and prolonged recuperation period, which could be six to twelve months, have made her adequate insurance more than inadequate.

Kaye will require a large amount of prescription drugs and daily nutritional supplements for which she has no insurance.  Many friends, family members, neighbors, and customers have expressed a sincere desire to help this wonderful person through this difficult medical and financial situation.

As a result of this interest a special account has been set up at Fannin Bank where you may make a donation in her name.  Your continued prayers and thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated by the Skinner family.  May God bless each of you.
