There are so many good reasons to learn how to grow what you eat.  Come learn about the benefits of growing vegetables in your backyard.  This program is primarily for beginner to intermediate gardeners that want to learn how to garden smart.  Come listen to Trudy West from TRUWEST FARMS, Foster Folgarty from Family Farms CSA, and Chuck Jones from Grayson County AgriLife teach on where, when, and how to grow vegetables. 

Learn how to design a garden. Learn about nonchemical options to control pests and diseases. Learn about the best cultivars to plant and when.  Learn about different popular garden styles. Learn about soil preparation and fertility. This and much more will be presented during this unique and timely program.

The program will be held at the Grayson County Courthouse in the 2nd floor Assembly Room (100 West Houston Street, Sherman, TX 75090). The registration fee will be $5 per attendee and will include beverages and handout materials.  The event begins with registration at 12:45 p.m. and concludes at 5:00 p.m.  Two CEUs (one hour general and one hour IPM) will be offered for those having Pesticide Applicators License.
