"The conservation of natural resources is the fundamental problem.  Unless we solve that problem it will avail us little to solve all others."  -- Theodore Roosevelt

CORE (Citizens Organizing for Resources & Environment) invites you to attend its next Films & Forums Gathering on Saturday night, March 27, 2010, at 7 pm in the May Room at the American Bank of Texas, 120 W. Sam Rayburn Drive, Bonham, Texas.

The documentary film, Fresh, which offers some new thinking about what we're eating will be shown.  With spring in the air and the growing season at hand, we are all ready for some fresh ideas.

"Fresh" celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system.  Each has witnessed the rapid transformation of our agriculture into an industrial model.  Each has confronted the resulting consequences: food contamination, environmental pollution, depletion of natural resources, and morbid obesity.  Forging healthier, sustainable alternatives, these persons offer a practical vision for a future of our food and our planet.

"Fresh" addresses a universal ideal that has been sweeping the nation and is a call to action America has been waiting for.  To learn more about this documentary film produced and directed by Sofia joanes and Ripple Effect Productions, visit www.FRESHthemovie.com or http://FRESHthemovie.yelp.com.

After the movie, Joyce Marshall, will facilitate a discussion of the audience's responses to the documentary and its fresh, positive alternatives.  You will have a chance to participate in a "go-round" and/or listen, discovering what impact the film presentation had upon you and whether it opened any new awarenesses for you.  All are welcome.  Please join us for this casual, invigorating event.
