Windom, Texas -- Anyone who has ever had the opportunity to watch Red River Community Theatre bring a play to life at the Windom Performing Arts Center probably already has March 26 circled on their calendar: That's the opening night for RRCT's latest production, Moon Over the Brewery.

One reason this cast has such a loyal following is a long list of professional performances. Another reason to make sure you are in your seat when the curtain opens is the intimate venue.  If you have had the pleasure of watching Gary Sisson and Allison Cardile spin their magic in the second-floor historic theatre in what was once Windom High School, you know it feels a lot more like watching friends sort out life's challenges than watching actors on a stage.

Local audiences will have feel an immediate affinity for the cast in this play. While there is no brewery in Fannin County, this could just as easily have been called Moon over the Factory.  It's about a couple of working people who, in their own way, always found a way to stop and smell the flowers even though life didn't turn out to be a bed of roses.

Then they found each other.

Cardile and Sisson turn in another outstanding performance, this time as a couple who find each other later in life.

Can it last?

Not if the other two cast members have the last word.

Samantha Avila gives a very believable performance as an imaginative 15-year-old daughter who has no intention of sharing her mother's attention and, to make matters worse, the bright, young girl has a very witty, some would say imaginary, co-conspirator played by Cliff Harjo.

Moon over the Brewery is very capably directed by Lisa Avila and North Texas audiences are certain to enjoy a feel-good performance by a dazzling cast in the cozy theatre in Windom.

Performances are scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 26, 27 and 28 and again Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 1, 2, 3 and 4.  All performances except Sundays will be at 7 p.m.  Sunday performances are at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors and are available at the Creative Arts Center, Fannin Bank and on the RRCT website using PayPal.
