With the advent of lovely, dry, spring weaher, we are delighted to announce the dedication for House #20 in Van Alstyne. This is a milestone house! We are celebrating the first house in Van Alstyne, the 20th house in Grayson County, and the 100th person living in a Habitat house in this county. That is 20 homes, 100 people! We will join Irma Gonzales and her family as we dedicate their home.
House dedication
Sunday, March 21 (note Sunday dedication date, rather than Saturday)
144 N. Dallas, Van Alstyne
2:30 pm
It seemed as if about half the city of Van Alstyne, plus volunteers, donors, and supporters, joined Irma for the groundbreaking, and we would love to have a street full of people again to celebrate its completion. Join us for refreshments and a tour of the house.
Volunteer Days
We have a definite date for dedication, and we are really close, but the house is not finished! We will continue with Wednesday and Saturday workdays until the house is complete in another week. We welcome volunteers on site to install shoe mold, complete the backyard storage building, install appliances, etc. Wednesdays and Saturdays, 8:30am - 2:30pm, 144 N. Dallas, Van Alstyne
