On February 5, 2010, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotic search warrant at the home/business located at 9897 N. FM 1417 Denison, Texas. (The southwest corner of 1417 and 120)
Narcotic’s Investigator’s with the Sheriff’s Office have been working on this particular residence for several months and on Friday they had collected enough information to request a search warrant.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. Investigators from the Narcotics and Criminal Investigative Sections of the Sheriff’s Office approached the home and executed the warrant. Outside the home Investigators found and arrested Estela Delgado a 49-year-old female and mother who lived and worked at the residence.
Estela Delgado was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) 4 – 200 grams and Abandon/Endangering a Child Imminent Danger. Her bond was set at $10,000.00 by Judge Ashley and she was released the next day. Inside the home Investigators arrested Jose Vega a 46-year-old man who lived and ran his business at the residence.
Jose Vega was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) 4 – 200 grams and Abandon/Endangering a child Imminent Danger. His bond was set at $25,000.00 by Judge Ashley and he was released the next day.
Inside the home Investigators found about $5,000 worth of methamphetamine hidden in the attic, in the master bedroom and in the garage. Along with the meth, Investigators found scales, packaging materials and several guns, two of which were stolen. Investigators recovered over $5,000 in cash and will be seeking forfeiture of the money and guns through the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.
A five-year-old boy slept through the incident until Child Protective Services and family members arrived to remove him. Laying underneath the child’s bed, Investigators found a shotgun and ammunition.
