Dodd City, Texas -- A funeral mass for Pauline Margaret Dobosh Lyles, 84, of Dodd City, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 PM Friday at Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Father Wilson Blas will officiate. Burial will follow in Hilger Cemetery. Pauline passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham.
Pauline was born Feb. 10, 1925 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Coleman Dobosh and Helen Kemenesi Dobosh. She was a graduate of Central High School in Flint.
Pauline married Leo Franklin Lyles, Dec. 26, 1942 in Flint, and he preceded her in death, Oct. 29, 2009. She was a teacher’s aide for Williams School in Flint. The couple moved to Fannin County in Dec. of 1975. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church where she was the organist for a number of years.
Pauline was a creative artist who enjoyed classical piano music, sewing, knitting, gardening and canning.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Mary Carol Lyles, and two sisters, Vanessa Gensel and Helen Vasas.
She is survived by ~

Lynn D. Lyles of Jamestown, Tennessee
Daughters: Jeanette M. Grantner of Canon City, Colorado
Myrna A. Lyles of Saginaw, Michigan
Sisters: Edith Bitterman of Owosso, Michigan
Pearl Nicolai of Davison, Michigan
7 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren
A number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Lyles, Steven Lyles, Scott Lyles, Leonard Grantner, Rhoal Lyles and Robin Tarpley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sharon Franklin and Marty Arfman.
Memorials may be made to the Fannin County Crisis Center.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday night at Wise Funeral Home.
