Suspect at large after robbery of Commerce convenience Store

COMMERCE — On Thursday, February 3, 2010, at 8:08 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the 702 Park Street on a reported robbery of the 909 Mart Convenience Store.
The clerk and witnesses at the scene said that a white male entered the store with a small pocket knife and demanded the money from the register. The witnesses said that the man, described as a white male about 5’ 4”, was wearing a black mask over his face.
The clerk complied with the robbers request and the suspect left the store with the cash from the register. Fortunately no one was hurt in the incident. Investigators are following up on leads and working with the witnesses and the possible evidence that the suspect left behind.
