Students at Forerunner Christian Academy recently took a field trip to the Bonham Public Library and the local Fire Station.
At the library, students were taken on a tour explaining how to find the books they are interested in and how to check them out. Towards the end of the tour they were treated to a book reading, which taught them the importance of caring for their borrowed books.

Students were then allowed to check out a few books they found interesting.
Once everyone had a book of their choice, they all walked down to the Fire Station. They were shown step by step instructions on how the firefighters respond to a call, complete with one of them sliding down the pole for added excitement.

Students were shown where all the equipment and ladders on a fire truck are located, as well as the inside of an ambulance. Everyone truly enjoyed getting to walk inside the fire truck and seeing the living quarters of the station.
Forerunner Christian Academy would like to thank the Bonham Fire Department and the Bonham Public Library for a wonderful field trip.
