City Council was presented with a fire operations briefing from Fire Chief Mark Wallace. He updated Council on the upcoming opening of Fire Station #8 and the new ISO rating classification.
In anticipation of the public hearing on the issue during Tuesday night’s regular action meeting, City Council reviewed two versions of proposed bond propositions drafted by bond attorneys. Specifically, one version, the most commonly used, is general in nature with broad language and project categories while the other has more project specific language.
City Council also discussed CCART services and process change requests. Based on data from the month of January, CCART determined that cutting on-call trips outside of their federally mandated corridor of operations will allow them to continue operating fixed route 200 without additional funding requests to the City of

This portion of the agenda consists of non-controversial or “housekeeping” items required by law. Typical consent items include board minutes, ordinances and resolutions. The meeting this week was unusual, as it only contained items on the consent agenda.
All consent agenda items passed. Items 10-042 through 10-053 were minutes from various city boards, commissions and council meetings previously held.
Items 10-036 and 10-037 approved resolutions authorizing two different annual fixed price contracts, one for tree trimming and removal services on an as needed basis and one for providing uniform and recreational clothing on an as needed basis, respectively.
