Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Mary Helen Bailey Clark, 88, of Lubbock, formerly of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 at Seventh & Main Baptist Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Walter Jackson and Cindy Baker Burnett will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery. Mary Helen passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 28, 2010 at Carrillon House in Lubbock.
Mary Helen was born January 6, 1922 in Paris, Texas, the daughter of Allen Bailey and Eunice V. Petty Bailey. Because her father worked for the railroad, the family made their homes in Paris and Bonham.
Mary Helen attended schools in Paris and Bonham and was a 1939 graduate of Bonham High School. She married Doss Evans Clark, July 14, 1940 at Highland Park Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas. He preceded her in death, Apr. 10, 1995.
Mary Helen was a teller and officer at Bonham State Bank for 23 years. Following the death of her husband, she enjoyed traveling with friends and playing Bridge.

Mary Helen was a longtime member of Seventh & Main Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Patti A. Roberts and 3 brothers.

Cathy Chumbley and husband, David of Plano
5 Great Grandchildren: Evan and Sierra Walker, Bailey and William Doss Bender and Lucas Carlton
Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Clark, Ronnie Clark, Brian Clark, Loy Dean Clark, Gene Danner, and Max Kirk.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Clark, Jimmy Bethel and Dalton Owens.
Memorials may be made the Seventh & Main Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday night.
