The Bonham JV boys faced off against Pottsboro in Bonham Tuesday afternoon. Last year when the same teams met in Pottsboro as 9th graders, Bonham played sloppy and got beat by a team that was smaller than they were. The Bonham JV boys must have forgotten about this embarrassing moment at the beginning of the game because Pottsboro took a quick lead. Bonham came back to tie the game at 9-9 shooting three 3-pointers to start their scoring.
The teams went on to play fairly evenly throughout the first half. The second half was a different story. Bonham started playing as a team making unselfish decisions by passing the ball to the open players for easy shots instead of forcing tough shots.
Bonham took a 17-point lead that Pottsboro cut back to 10. Bonham poured it on to finish up with a 52-35 win.
