The Bonham JV boys experienced some setbacks in their non-district basketball season the week of 12/13-12/19/09. They had to play Lovejoy on Tuesday and Princeton on Friday with skeleton crews due to the play restrictions that prevent players from participating in more than three games per week. Half the team played on Tuesday and the other half on Friday. They lost both of these games.

Returning home late Friday from Princeton, the team had to be back on the bus early Saturday morning in order to make their 8:30 game in the Prosper tournament. They faced Prosper JV 1 team and lost.

They faced Prosper JV 2 team at 11:30 and it looked like they were going to lose this game as Prosper came out to end the first quarter with a 12 to 0 lead. Bonham fought back and won the game 32 to 24 to take third out of eight teams participating in the Prosper Tournament.

This was quite an accomplishment coming in with little rest from Friday night and facing teams from larger districts.
