The Savoy Junior High Cardinals edged out the Dodd City Hornets in an exciting back-and-forth ball game, 35-33.

In a game that featured numerous lead changes the Cardinals were led by a great defensive effort and the 27 points scored by Justin Berbue.

Also chipping in offensively were Tristan Allen and his 2 points, Braden Phillip with 5, and Riley Neal with 1. The Cardinals were led by Tanner Garrison's outstanding defensive play as well as Austin Worley's.

The Savoy Junior High Cardinals will play again Jan. 7, 2010 at Ector.
