STEPHENVILLE, Texas - The Southeastern men's basketball team held Tarleton State to 54 points, but was unable to get its own offense going, falling to the Texans, 54-43, in Stephenville, Texas.

The Savage Storm will be back in action on Nov. 25 when it hosts Science and Arts in the home opener at Bloomer Sullivan Arena at 7 p.m.

Mychal Horn led all scorers on the night with 19 points, with Chibuzo Elonu and William Slones next highest at six each.

Slones led all rebounders with 12 boards and added four blocked shots.

TSU got on the board with a three to open the game in what would be a low scoring first half.

The Storm stayed close, trading buckets early, before the Texans got out to their 29-16 lead at halftime.

Tarleton State got out to as much as a 19-point lead before SE started whittling away at the deficit.

The Storm trimmed the gap to 48-41 on a Will Robinson three pointer with 4:09 to play.

That was as close as it would get, however, as TSU held on for the 54-43 win.
