STEPHENVILLE, Texas - Southeastern put three players in double-figures, but an overall cold shooting night kept the team out of the win column with a 71-55 loss to Angelo State at the Tarleton Classic in Stephenville, Texas.

The Savage Storm will finish up play at the classic with a 7 p.m. contest against host Tarleton State on Nov. 21.

Chibuzo Elonu and Chris Roussell led the Storm on the night with 14 points each, while William Slones added 10.

SE outrebounded the Rams 46-to-37 as the Storm was led by game-highs of nine from Slones and Jordan Lee.

ASU outshot the Storm 42.6 percent-to-33.3 percent, including a 45.0 percent-to-16.7 percent advantage from three.

SE did hold a 91.7 percent-to-55.6 percent advantage from the charity stripe, however that was somewhat limited as the Storm hit 11-of-12 in the first half and did not attempt a free throw in the second.

Southeastern got on the board first with an Elonu jumper and two minutes later a Slones bucket gave the Storm a 4-2 lead.

ASU answered with a 20-4 run to take a 22-6 lead with 6:39 to play in the half.

SE responded with a run of its own, closing the half by outscoring the Rams 19-5 to fashion the 27-25 halftime score.

The Storm opened by tying the game on a Roussell jumper, but ASU regained the lead and by the midway point of the half had built it to double digits before going on to outscore SE 44-30 in the second half to fashion the final of 71-55.
