Let the music begin!  The Red River Valley Chorus, along with its incredible new director, Melody Holmes, wants you to come and experience festive music of good cheer at Truth Tabernacle Church; Highway 75 (Exit 67); Denison, Texas.  At 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 in the church sanctuary, “Holiday Harmony” will come to life!  Be sure to bring your friends and family to this performance which is again open to the public.

The chorus is planning a bit different style show this year.  Come hear how each member tells you, “I’ve Got the Music in Me!”  There will still be some of your favorite holiday songs, too.  In addition, various guest performers will be singing and entertaining the audience.

Thus, the tone is set for a musical extravaganza provided by the Red River Valley Chorus, complete with their guests; vocalist Anna Clarkson and instrumental vocalist Brian Ladd.  Secret Blend and Whimsey Quartets and their good friends, the local men’s barbershop group, the Texoma Chordringers and their quartets, Out of Shape Notes and TQ will delight you with their harmonies.  RRVC also welcomes our Sweet Adeline sisters from Allen, Texas; the Note-ably North Texas Chorus to the show.  Everyone can especially look forward to the wonderful group of four young ladies, called the Converse Quartet who plan to make their debut on Holiday Harmony.”

Another group of guests who will be singing several songs with the Red River Valley Chorus are the Holiday Stars.  For six weeks, women from the Texoma area have been rehearsing with the chorus and learning the many facets of barbershop music.  After this training, the Stars join the chorus for a full on-stage performance experience.  The Stars are very much appreciated and many become members after this enjoyable opportunity.  Other women from the North Texas and Southern Oklahoma area who enjoy singing are encouraged to visit a chorus rehearsal to find out about all the fun and friendship.  More information can be obtained at RedRiverValleyChorus.com.

The Red River Valley will add a glow of nostalgia for all ages at their show.  The chorus wants to provide a heartwarming, wholesome, family listening experience for the Texoma community.  And to make it even better, this performance is open to the public at no charge.  The RRVC only asks for your generous donations.  You are also welcome to bid on the terrific Silent Auction items and an outstandingly beautiful handmade quilt, “Snowmen on Parade” while at the show.

Give yourself and your family the gift of timeless music.  On Saturday, November 21 at Truth Tabernacle Church at 7:00 p.m., there will be a wealth of music and talent in one place for your evening’s entertainment.  The Red River Valley Chorus’ Holiday Harmony” is clearly the musical show of the season!  The chorus is planning a professional performance leaving everyone with a memorable night of merriment and good cheer.
